About the Company

Based in East Yorkshire, (Hull, East) my client is an established and respected manufacturing organisation with an enviable reputation for product quality and service excellence. As part of the continued evolution of the local finance team the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Payroll Clerk to join the business for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a small, dedicated accounting function team your responsibilities are varied to cover the range of payroll provision for the company as a whole and at the same time support the transactional management areas of the business.

Specific responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Processing weekly and monthly payroll (105 employees).
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
• Handling payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Supporting finance team with administrative tasks as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with HR and finance policies.
• Contributing to a positive and productive office environment.
• Liaise with HR with the on boarding of new employees.
• Enter Monthly credit card expenses on SAGE 200.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate Profile

You will be an experienced payroll clerk able to demonstrate a strong track record of end-to-end payroll experience ideally gained in a similar fast-paced business. Professional, confident and self-disciplined with a flexible and proactive nature.

• End to end payroll experience including an excellent understanding of statutory payments.
• Sage Payroll 50 experience (preferable).
• Sage 200 experience (preferable).
• Previous experience in a payroll position.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• A keen attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Sumifs, Vlookups etc).
